Smart City Expo receives the Technology Innovation award from the Martin Luther King Jr. Center

Smart City Expo World Congress (SCEWC), the leading international summit on cities and smart urban solutions organized by Fira de Barcelona was awarded by the Martin Luther King Jr. Center in Atlanta (USA) with the Beloved Community Technological Innovation Award of 2020 for its commitment to social responsibility in the spirit of Martin Luther King Jr.

SCEWC’s director, Ugo Valenti, said that “we are truly honored for an award as meaningful as this one. For a decade now we have been putting together a platform that gathers people from all over the world who strive for inclusive, equitable, fair, and peaceful communities. Being acknowledged by the Martin Luther King Jr. Center for our work and alignment with Dr. king’s principles can only encourage us to work harder and go farther to accomplish our shared goals.

One of the highest honors given by The King Center for Nonviolent Change, the Beloved Community Awards recognize individuals and corporations that exemplify excellence in their leadership and have demonstrated a commitment to social responsibility in the spirit of Martin Luther King Jr.
